American Express has sent out another round of targeted Amex Offers for Delta Air Lines frequent flyers.

This time, there are two Amex Offers. One provides $50 off $250 or more in spending with Delta, and one offers $60 off $300 or more in Delta purchases. While both offers require the flight to depart from a U.S. airport and be paid in U.S. dollars, the second offer requires a nonstop round-trip domestic flight with a departure from one of New York City’s three airports.

Some American Express cardmembers with more than one card may see both offers on different cards. As we’ve seen with most previous Amex Offers, the rebate will post as a statement credit to your credit card bill.

The staffer with the first offer for $50 off $250 or more found it on his Delta SkyMiles® Blue American Express Card. His spouse, who has her own Delta SkyMiles Blue credit card, has the same offer.

While most cardholders will likely use this offer to save on airfare, the terms state that the credit is eligible for ancillary fees like upgrades, seat selection fees, baggage fees and Delta Sky Club memberships. Most importantly, charge $250 or more by Dec. 31 to get the $50 rebate. Here are some of the important terms:

  • Your Delta flight(s) must be booked directly through delta.com, the Fly Delta app or U.S. reservation telephone line.
  • Flights must originate in the U.S., including U.S. territories, and purchases must be made in U.S. dollars to qualify.
  • Valid only for purchases where Delta Air Lines is the merchant of record, such as airfare, fare upgrades, seat selection fees, baggage fees, standby fees and Delta Sky Club memberships.
  • Not valid on inflight purchases, Delta Vacations, gift cards and other Delta affiliates.
  • Enrollment is required before you book your ticket.
  • You must book your ticket by Dec. 31, but the flight(s) can be for after that date.

The TPG staffer with the second Amex Offer is based in New York City. The offer is on The Platinum Card® from American Express.

This offer has some more stringent terms:

  • Your Delta flight(s) must be booked directly through delta.com, the Fly Delta app or U.S. reservation telephone line.
  • Flights must originate from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), LaGuardia Airport (LGA) or Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and arrive at any U.S. airport.
  • Flights must be booked as nonstop, round-trip itineraries. To qualify, there can’t be any connections.
  • Not valid for fare upgrades (unless booked at the initial purchase), seat selection fees, baggage fees, standby fees and Delta Sky Club memberships.
  • Not valid on inflight purchases, Delta Vacations, gift cards and other Delta affiliates.
  • Enrollment is required before you book your ticket.
  • You must book your ticket by Dec. 31, but the flight(s) can be for after that date.

Remember that when you book flights with the Amex Platinum, you earn 5 points per dollar for your flights (on up to $500,000 on these purchases per calendar year). Additionally, the Amex Platinum offers Delta Sky Club access to the primary cardholder when flying on a Delta-operated flight, so make sure to stop by for a refreshment before your trip.

For frequent Delta travelers, these offers are essentially a cash rebate. Check your Amex Offers to see if your account has been targeted.
