When should you transfer Chase points to Flying Blue?
TPG currently values Chase Ultimate Rewards points at 2.05 cents each and Flying Blue miles at 1.3 cents each, per our December 2025 valuations.
To maximize your Chase points, we recommend comparing the Flying Blue redemption rate with the value you’d get if you booked your flight with cash or through the Chase Travel℠ portal.
Though Flying Blue operates using dynamic pricing, here are some great ways to transfer and redeem Flying Blue miles:
- Flying Blue Promo Rewards: Each month, Flying Blue publishes discounted award deals (up to 25% off) on select Air France and KLM routes, offering a great way to save on flights from the U.S. to Europe. Economy flights are available for as low as 18,750 miles.
- Europe in premium cabins: Awards on Air France- and KLM-operated flights are priced dynamically when booking via Flying Blue, with prices to Europe starting from 25,000 miles in economy, 40,000 miles in premium economy and 60,000 miles in business class each way per person. The business-class rate is a particularly great deal, and you can use a tool like Seats.aero to search for award availability. (Note: After using search tools, always confirm award space with the airline.)
- Free stopovers: Flying Blue allows a free stopover (no extra miles; taxes and fees apply) on one-way or round-trip awards, including partner itineraries. This is great if you want to add Amsterdam or Paris to your trip itinerary.
Bottom line
Transferring Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Flying Blue miles at a 1:1 rate is straightforward and typically instant.
Always find the award seats first, weigh the value against cash or portal bookings, and watch for Promo Rewards or transfer bonuses to stretch your Chase points even further.
