Good news for Bilt Rewards members: July 1 is another Bilt Rent Day.

As on previous Rent Days, you can play trivia to earn Bilt Points and snag double points on nonrent purchases. But this Rent Day, Bilt members can also enjoy a status-based transfer bonus to Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan, and some Bilt members can activate Alaska elite status through Dec. 31.

The Bilt Rewards program is free to join, and here’s what you need to know about the July Rent Day promotions.

Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan transfer bonus and status match

Bilt added Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan as a strategic partner in March, immediately launching the ability to transfer Bilt points to Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan at a 1:1 ratio. Now, Bilt members can enjoy a status-based transfer bonus and status match this Rent Day.

Transfer bonus

When you transfer up to 50,000 Bilt points to Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan between midnight EDT on July 1 and 2:59 a.m. EDT on July 2, you’ll enjoy a transfer bonus based on your Bilt elite status tier as of July 1:

  • Platinum members: 100% bonus
  • Gold members: 75% bonus
  • Silver members: 50% bonus
  • Blue members: 25% bonus

Most Bilt members can transfer as few as 1,000 points, although Blue members must transfer at least 2,000 points. If you transfer more than 50,000 Bilt points to Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan during the transfer window, you will earn a bonus on only the first 50,000 and will see your points transferred at a 1:1 ratio for each point thereafter.

Status match

If you have Bilt Gold or Platinum status, you can activate a status match by transferring 10,000 Bilt points to the Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan program from the dedicated elite status page between June 25 and July 1. Bilt Gold members who do so will get Alaska MVP status through Dec. 31, while Bilt Platinum members who do so will get Alaska MVP Gold status through Dec 31.

However, if you have dreams of transferring points on July 1 to stack the transfer bonus with the status match, listen up. The 10,000 Bilt points you must transfer to activate the status match aren’t eligible for the Rent Day transfer bonus. However, the 10,000 points Bilt Gold or Platinum members must transfer to activate the status match don’t count toward the 50,000 point limit for the transfer bonus.

New Bilt Neighborhood Dining Series

Bilt is also launching a new Neighborhood Dining Series in Austin, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., this Rent Day.

Each month, Bilt will offer reservations at Bilt Neighborhood Dining restaurants for $75 or 6,000 Bilt points per person. With a reservation, you’ll secure a curated tasting menu and a selection of premium cocktails. Many types of reservations are available. But to whet your palate, know that some reservations you can secure in four cities this month are at Sushi Bar for an omakase experience with premium grade sake.

Bookings open for July on June 27 in the Bilt app. Specifically, reservations open to Platinum members at noon EDT, Gold members at 12:10 p.m. EDT, Silver members at 12:20 p.m. EDT and Blue members at 12:30 p.m. EDT. If you’re interested in snagging a reservation, I recommend being in the Bilt app when the time slot opens for your status tier.

Bilt Rent Day trivia

If you’re good at trivia, you can boost your Bilt Rewards balance for free this Rent Day. This is the last Bilt Rent Day that will feature trivia.

Head to the Bilt app on July 1 to play trivia. You’ll get five trivia questions that increase incrementally in difficulty and value. The first question is worth 10 points, the second question is worth 20 points, the third question is worth 30 points, the fourth question is worth 40 points and the fifth question is worth 50 points.

If you get all five questions correct, Bilt will unlock a sixth question worth an extra 100 points. You could earn 250 Bilt points through trivia this Rent Day if you correctly answer all six questions.

Extra Bilt points on nonrent purchases

As on previous Bilt Rent Days, you’ll earn double points when you use your Bilt Mastercard® (see rates and fees) to make nonrent purchases between midnight EDT on July 1 and 2:59 a.m. EDT on July 2. You’ll earn as follows for purchases each Rent Day:

  • Dining: 6 points per dollar
  • Travel: 4 points per dollar
  • Other purchases (excluding rent): 2 points per dollar
  • Rent: 1 point per dollar (up to 100,000 points in a calendar year)

You can earn up to 10,000 bonus points on purchases with your Bilt Mastercard each Rent Day. However, you must use the card five times per statement period to earn points (see rewards and benefits).

Rent Day SoulCycle rides

Bilt is continuing its Rent Day SoulCycle rides on July 1. These rides are 45 minutes long and offer a full-body indoor cycling workout.

Bilt members can enjoy complimentary bikes in special Rent Day-themed classes at more than 50 locations on a first-come, first-served basis when they reserve their ride through the Bilt app starting June 28 at noon EDT. You can cancel for free until 5 p.m. local time on June 30, after which time your card may be charged $30 if you don’t show or cancel.

Bilt also offers up to $2,500 to one rider participating in a July Rent Day Ride class to cover a month of rent.

Rent Free game

In August 2023, Bilt launched a new way to win free rent for a month (up to $2,500): the “Family Feud”-style Rent Free game show. Bilt has since offered the Rent Free game show each Rent Day, with a new creator or personality playing each month. This month, the guest is chef, author, YouTuber and influencer Brooklyn Peltz Beckham.

A few months ago, Bilt changed how its Rent Free game works. Now, you’ll earn points when you pick a top three answer, when you correctly rank that answer and when the celebrity guest picks the same answer as you.

Head to the Bilt app to play between June 25 at noon EDT and July 1 at 3 p.m. EDT. Then return to the app after July 1 at 4 p.m. EDT to watch Beckham play and see your score. The 10 top-scoring players will be the winners for July Rent Day, and the next 600 top-scoring members will earn Bilt points. If you tie with another Bilt member, the tie will be broken based on who played the game first.
