Get ready, skiers: Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah, is getting a brand-new hotel perfect for Hyatt loyalists: the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley.

Set to open in late 2024, the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley will offer guests 387 “expansive” guest rooms, including 40 suites, according to a statement from Hyatt. For real die-hard fans of the area, there will also be 55 private residences, in case you’ve been considering having a more permanent situation near the slopes.

This will be the first major points-friendly ski hotel to open in a number of years.

In addition to the rooms, the “destination within a destination” at the popular ski resort will offer an apres-ski bar and grill, a restaurant and a coffee shop. Specifics on the food and beverage options are to be announced.

This exciting new Grand Hyatt will also offer a heated pool open all year, a fitness center, an outdoor event terrace with panoramic mountain views, and more than 38,000 square feet of indoor event space.

With a goal to open for the 2024-25 ski season, the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley will be a game-changer for Deer Valley Resort. The resort is currently undergoing an extensive expansion that includes doubling the skiable terrain and adding 16 new ski lifts and a 10-passenger gondola. Further expansions down the line include adding a new ski village to the resort and more hotel rooms, as TPG reported earlier this year.

For now, the resort still offers plenty for travelers to enjoy with fresh powder on the ground or when the summer sun is blazing. This includes dozens of ski runs, a ski beach, restaurants and bars, shopping, a kids center, a ski school, hiking, mountain biking and more.

Unfortunately, Hyatt doesn’t have too much to share about the resort quite yet (including pricing information). Still, we can expect that this property will quickly become a World of Hyatt favorite, considering how expensive hotels in Park City can be during peak ski season.

If you’re planning a ski trip to the area this year, there are plenty of other places to stay. Honorable mentions include Montage Deer Valley, which recently completed an extensive renovation, as well as Marriott’s luxurious St. Regis Deer Valley and Hilton’s Waldorf Astoria Park City.

And Hyatt loyalists don’t have to wait for the new Grand Hyatt to burn some World of Hyatt points in Park City.

One great place to stay is the ski-friendly Hyatt Centric Park City at the base of Canyons Village, which starts at 25,000 Hyatt points per night. A great resort for families, the Hyatt Centric has many multiroom suites with space for everyone to spread out. It also has a heated pool, a bar and restaurant, and charging stations for electric vehicles.
